 Storm King Ranch

Home   Overview   Description   Activities   Pictures   Topo Map

The main lodge, with its traditional beamed ceilings and fireplaces, was designed and built in a manner that would be difficult to duplicate today.  From every window there is a view of the rugged canyon or the majestic peaks.  It was here that Curtis King and Tom Mix--who met when the actor filmed the "The Great Train Robbery" in Glenwood Canyon--played countless hands of poker and King stole Mix's beautiful wife.  Legend also says that somewhere on the ranch is a goldmine that has been lost for decades.

Storm King Ranch--the ultimate retreat--is unique in the West.  This idyllic ranch harbors the adventure and romance of the West, with comforts and conveniences, yet seclusion and privacy to suit any escape.
