Carbondale

Carbondale is a funky little town resting at the base of 12,953-foot Mount Sopris.  The West Elk Loop, a Colorado Scenic Byway, wanders right through town.  There’s plenty to do outdoors here, from biking, to kayaking, to world-class fly-fishing. In the winter, excellent cross-country skiing can be found at Spring Gulch.  Don’t be surprised if you see the occasional cattle drive through town.  Carbondale is “where Rocky vistas meet crystal waters.”
